Playoff Races Odds Heating Up

We’re entering September in Major League Baseball and the playoff races are taking shape!

The new playoff format instituted by MLB has made it possible for five teams to technically make the playoffs. Two teams in each league with the best record that did not win their division have a one game playoff to determine who plays in the Divisional Series.

If the season were to end today, the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers would play in the Wild Card game in the American League. In the National League, it would be the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs would face off.

There isn’t much of a challenge right now as to who might make the playoffs. Only the Minnesota Twins are within a game and a half of the Wild Card leaders.

The big race going into the last month of the season is in the American League East, where the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays are within a game and a half of each other for the pennant.

Who is going to win? The Jays are in the lead now but that could change. You can test the odds by betting online on baseball.

No matter what happens, it’s sure to be another great postseason for Major League Baseball.
