Yankees Minor League Report 9/4/19: Trenton Wins Behind Clarke Schmidt’s Brilliance

A few playoff roster notes:

IF Angel Aguilar and RHP Greg Weissert were called up to Scranton, while IF Oswaldo Cabrera and IF Diego Castillo have been called up to Trenton.  As long as they are still in the organization, Cabrera and Castillo should both be in Trenton for the 2020 season.

In case you are wondering, it indeed appears as if Estevan Florial was not moved to Double-A for the playoffs.

Aaron Boone announced that both Luis Severino and Dellin Betances will receive rehab appearances on Friday for the Trenton Thunder.   Scranton is down in Durham, where Hurricane Dorian has already pushed back Game 2 to Friday (already postponed the Thursday game).  The Yankees are probably just being extra cautious with where they are placing them.
